Why I chose Robotics and AI?

Robotics and AI

Last updated on: June 25, 2025

When I was in high school, I was always interested in Computer Science, and I had already decided that I wanted to become a computer engineer someday.

However, after completing my 12th grade in 2023, I was a bit confused about which engineering branch to choose. Around that time, Artificial Intelligence was everywhere - on the news, on social media, and in everyday conversations. That made me think about courses like AIML (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) or AIDS (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science).

While exploring different options, I came across another course offered at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte - Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. I did some research online and also spoke to friends about it. Almost everyone gave positive feedback.

What caught my attention was the unique combination of both software and hardware in this branch. Seeing robots in real life was something new to me. I had only seen them in cartoons or movies. But it seemed exciting, and I could see strong potential for this field in the job market.

After thinking it through, I decided to take a chance and try something different. And I’m really glad I did.

Today, I’m happy with the path I chose. This branch is not only interesting but also full of opportunities. I’m excited to complete my degree and use what I’ve learned to make a positive impact in society.

I would definitely recommend this branch to anyone who enjoys technology and wants to explore the future of innovation.
